With the theme 'Future Pilot' we want to promote the exchange of ideas about the future demands and environment of the commercial pilot. The purpose of this is to be able to form a coherent and valuable picture of what we see as new and crucial demands on the flight crew and possible safety issues in flight operations in future operational contexts - and to determine how the support of aviation psychology competences can help to counter these demands. These issues may have an impact on the pilot assessment and selection but also on training and development of flight deck crew.

The aim of this network theme will be to develop and uphold a current and realistic picture of the present and future demands of the airline pilot profession. We would like everyone in the network to feel that it produces ’mutual benefit’. Information sharing will create added value and a learning opportunity for everyone involved.
